Is this 4L80E built for towing?

Yes. It is built for daily driving, mild towing, hauling and work-truck use. An external transmission cooler is strongly recommended for vehicles that regularly tow or haul.

What upgrades are included?

The build includes high-energy clutches, new steels, increased direct-clutch capacity, a heavy-duty intermediate band, an updated 34-element sprag, TransGo shift corrections, valve-body repairs, recommended Sonnax updates, an updated pump and new internal electronics.

Does the transmission include a torque converter?

Yes. An OEM-style gas lockup converter is included. Typical stall speed is approximately 2,000–2,200 RPM, depending on the engine, vehicle weight, gearing and tire size.

Can I use this 4L80E in an LS swap?

Yes. The Street build works well in mild LS swaps when the transmission, converter, controller and calibration are properly matched to the vehicle.

Are new internal electronics included?

Yes. A new EPC solenoid, shift solenoids, TCC solenoid, internal wiring harness and applicable sensors are installed and matched to the transmission year.

Is the Twisted Street 4L80E available in 2WD and 4WD?

Yes. Twisted Torque builds both 2WD and 4WD versions using the correct case, output setup and electronics for the application.

Does the advertised price include the core charge?
