The Twisted Punisher™ 6L90E is our heavy-duty performance transmission for modified GM trucks, Camaro ZL1, Cadillac CTS-V, and LS-powered vehicles making up to 800 engine HP.

Punisher starts with our Twisted Pro™ upgrades and adds a Sonnax One-Piece 300M Billet Intermediate Shaft & 4-5-6 Hub, increased 4-5-6 clutch capacity, updated pump and valve-body pressure control, and our Super Duty Billet Cover Torque Converter — INCLUDED.

Every transmission is torn down, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt in-house with a NEW Pump & Bellhousing Assembly and updated factory weak points.

Every 6L90E includes an application-matched programmed TEHCM. Factory replacements are programmed using your vehicle's VIN. Engine swaps may require a compatible donor VIN or base calibration. ✔ Complete Teardown & Factory Updates

Every Punisher is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt with our standard 6L90 factory corrections.

Standard Build Includes: NEW Pump & Bellhousing Assembly, high-energy performance frictions and NEW steels, updated 1-2-3-4 apply piston, corrected 3-5-Reverse drum and clutch arrangement, updated 2-6 and Low/Reverse clutches, sprag inspection and repair as required, TransGo TCC and clutch-select corrections, pressure regulator and boost-valve updates, new bushings, gaskets, seals, sealing rings, and filter.

Clutch drums, shafts, planetary gears, hubs, and bearings are inspected and measured. Worn or damaged parts are replaced.

✔ High-Capacity 3-5-Reverse & 2-6 Clutch Assemblies

Punisher carries over our Pro high-energy performance clutch upgrades in the 3-5-Reverse and 2-6 assemblies.

Builder Spec: Approved 6L90-specific Alto performance clutch arrangements, with new matching steels.

Drums, pistons, and sealing surfaces are inspected. Clutch clearances are checked during assembly.

8-Friction Performance Clutch Pack — 36-Tooth Configuration

Builder Spec: Sonnax #104960-10K High-Capacity Apply-Piston Kit.

The 6L90 factory seven-friction arrangement is upgraded to eight frictions using the matching apply piston, apply plate, backing plate, and steels.

The added friction increases clutch holding surface. The strengthened backing plate helps prevent flexing and uneven clutch wear.

Builder Note: Use the matching 36-tooth shaft/hub and clutch parts. Set clutch clearance and verify calibration for the wave-plate-delete arrangement.

✔ PUNISHER UPGRADE — One-Piece 300M Billet Intermediate Shaft & 4-5-6 Hub

STANDARD — SONNAX #104690-36 — INCLUDED

The factory 6L90 uses a welded intermediate shaft and clutch hub. This connection can fail under increased torque.

We replace it with the Sonnax 104690-36 one-piece 300M billet shaft and 36-tooth clutch hub.

The one-piece design eliminates the factory weld joint and increases oil flow to the 4-5-6 clutch.

Builder Spec: 104690-36 / 36-Tooth Hub / Matching 36-Tooth Frictions & Steels.

✔ Pump & Valve Body — Modified & Updated the Twisted Torque™ Way

The valve body is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt to correct worn valves, clutch pressure loss, and converter clutch control problems.

Builder Spec: NEW Pump & Bellhousing Assembly with Sonnax #104534-HD pump slide spring or verified equivalent already installed.

Pressure control and shift operation are matched to the high-capacity clutch packs and intended engine load.

TransGo TCC, clutch-select, pressure-regulator, and boost-valve updates are included as required by the selected valve-body configuration.

✔ Output Planetary, Hard Parts & Final Assembly

The output planetary, carrier, gear teeth, bearings, and related parts are inspected for wear, cracks, and heat damage.

Builder Reference: Sonnax #104584-90K — 6L90 Output Planet Saver Kit, installed when required by the approved build procedure or planetary condition.

New bushings, seals, and sealing rings are installed. Clutch packs are measured and air-checked, and internal clearances are verified before final assembly.

💥 SUPER DUTY BILLET COVER TORQUE CONVERTER — INCLUDED

Every Twisted Punisher™ 6L90E includes our Super Duty Billet Cover Torque Converter at factory-matched 1800–2000 RPM stall.

The billet cover provides a stronger converter foundation while retaining factory-style stall characteristics for street driving and approved heavy-duty applications.

For customers running higher torque, aggressive boost, heavier performance vehicles, or repeated hard launches, we offer an additional 4-5-6 clutch and billet shaft upgrade.
