The Twisted Street™ 6L80E is our entry-level performance transmission for GM cars, trucks, and SUVs that need more than a factory-style replacement without sacrificing everyday drivability.

Every transmission is completely torn down, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt in-house with high-energy performance clutches, new matched steels, corrected hydraulics, and a NEW pump and bellhousing assembly.

We finish every build with our Super Duty Billet Cover Torque Converter at factory stall speed — INCLUDED.

Every transmission is disassembled, cleaned, and inspected before assembly.

A new pump and bellhousing assembly replaces the original as part of every Twisted Street™ build.

Performance friction materials and matched steels are selected for the vehicle and intended use to deliver dependable clutch operation, heat resistance, and daily-driving performance.

✔ 1-2-3-4 Clutch Assembly

Completely inspected, rebuilt, and clearanced during assembly.

✔ 3-5-Reverse Clutch & Drum

Inspected for known cracking, weld failure, and wear. The clutch assembly is rebuilt and clearanced. Drums are reconditioned or replaced as required.

✔ 4-5-6 Clutch Assembly

Rebuilt with high-energy performance clutches and matched steels. Apply clearances are checked during assembly.

✔ Reconditioned & Recalibrated Valve Body

Hydraulic circuits are inspected and corrected for proper pressure control, clutch application, converter clutch operation, and shift performance.

✔ TransGo TCC Hydraulic Correction

Addresses known torque converter clutch regulator and clutch-select circuit concerns that can contribute to converter cycling, slipping, and inconsistent operation.

✔ Pressure Regulator & Boost Valve Corrections

Pressure-control circuits are inspected and corrected as required to maintain proper hydraulic operation and clutch apply pressure.

✔ Complete Bushing Replacement

New bushings installed throughout the transmission to restore proper support and internal clearances.

✔ New Gaskets, Seals & Sealing Rings

Complete sealing service performed during assembly.

✔ New Transmission Filter

Installed with every transmission.

✔ OE Hard Parts Inspected & Measured

Drums, shafts, hubs, planetary gearsets, and related internal hard parts are inspected for wear or damage. Parts that do not meet our build specifications are replaced.

Each transmission is assembled for the correct vehicle and drivetrain configuration.
