Ford 289 302 351W 164-Tooth Flexplate | 0 oz Neutral Balance | AOD AODE Early 4R70W
Internally Balanced Small-Block Ford • 164 Tooth • 14.23" OD • AOD • AODE • Early 4R70W
The F207 164-tooth flexplate is a 0 oz / neutral-balance flexplate for compatible non-Modular Ford engine applications using an internally balanced rotating assembly.
This plate is especially useful for custom early Ford small-block combinations where an engine originally using a 28 oz or 50 oz external-balance flexplate has been rebuilt with an internally balanced aftermarket rotating assembly and is being paired with a compatible AOD, AODE or early 4R70W transmission.

1970s 302
The original 1970s 302 would normally use a 28 oz external-balance flexplate. Once the rotating assembly is specifically converted to internal balance, the external flexplate weight is no longer used.
F207 is cataloged for compatible Ford automatic applications including:
✔️ C4
✔️ C5
✔️ C6
✔️ AOD
✔️ AODE
✔️ Early 4R70W
✔️ E4OD
Converter pattern, flexplate offset, bellhousing and starter configuration must still match the transmission being used.
Later Modular Ford engines and later 4R70W/4R75W applications use different flexplate configurations.
Do not select this flexplate simply because your transmission is called a 4R70W.
The engine architecture, crank pattern, balance, converter pattern and transmission configuration must all match.
Factory-style 289 • early 302 • 351W
Factory-style later 302 / 5.0L
Internally balanced non-Modular Ford applications
Installing a neutral flexplate does not convert an externally balanced engine to internal balance.
The crankshaft and complete rotating assembly must already be configured and balanced for a 0 oz / neutral flexplate.
