Choose from four build levels based on how the vehicle is actually used, from the 350 HP Twisted Street™ for daily drivers and light towing to the 750 HP Twisted Executioner™ for high-horsepower street and strip combinations.

2WD and 4WD configurations available. E4OD fitment varies by year, engine, electronics and output shaft, so application information is verified before the transmission is built.

Built Ford E4OD Transmissions for 5.0L & 5.8L Gas Applications

The Ford E4OD is an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission used across Ford truck, Bronco and E-Series applications. Twisted Torque builds the E4OD specifically around the vehicle, engine combination, horsepower and intended use rather than selling one generic build for every application.

Our small-block E4OD lineup covers stock and mildly modified daily drivers, towing and work trucks, higher-horsepower street builds, and serious boosted or nitrous combinations.

Twisted Street™ E4OD - 350 HP

Our Street build is designed for stock and mildly modified 5.0L / 302 and 5.8L / 351W applications. It is a strong choice for daily drivers, work trucks and light towing where a properly rebuilt and updated E4OD is needed without the additional hard parts used in our higher-level builds.

Twisted Pro™ E4OD - 450 HP

The Pro steps up for regular towing, hauling, work-truck use and moderately modified engines. It adds increased clutch capacity, a heavy-duty 45-element intermediate sprag and the TransGo 4R100-HD2 Tugger tow/haul valve-body setup.

Twisted Punisher™ E4OD / 4R100 - 600 HP

The Punisher moves into serious performance hardware with increased clutch capacity, a steel 6-pinion forward planetary, steel overdrive planetary, heavy-duty input shaft, 45-element intermediate sprag, TransGo E4OD-HD2 performance calibration and billet lockup converter.

Twisted Executioner™ E4OD / 4R100 - 750 HP

The Executioner is our highest-level small-block gas build. Designed for high-horsepower street and strip applications, it steps up to 300M billet input and intermediate shafts, a 4140 billet forward drum, steel planetary assemblies, E4OD-HD2 performance calibration and a billet triple-disc lockup converter.

New Transmission Pan Included

Every Twisted Torque small-block E4OD build includes a new transmission pan with drain plug. We do not reuse the old pan.

A high-capacity deep aluminum cooling pan is available as an optional upgrade. Depending on application, the deep pan adds approximately 5 to 7.5 quarts of fluid capacity. This upgrade is highly recommended for high-performance, towing and severe-duty applications.

E4OD Cooling Matters

A fresh performance E4OD should never be installed behind a contaminated or restricted cooler. The transmission cooler and lines must be properly flushed and checked for unrestricted flow before installation. If the previous transmission contaminated the cooler with metal or clutch material, the contaminated cooler should be replaced.
