The Twisted Torque™ OEM+ AODE Transmission is a properly rebuilt, electronically controlled overdrive designed for direct replacement and mild custom street builds, delivering factory-style shift quality and long-term reliability.

Ideal for stock and lightly modified Ford small-block engines—including mild cam, intake, EFI, and exhaust upgrades—this unit provides smooth electronic shifting without aggressive performance calibration.

Rated for up to 350 HP, it corrects common factory wear points and restores proper hydraulic operation for smooth, predictable daily drivability.

🔌 ELECTRONIC CONTROL & CONTROLLER COMPATIBILITY

These early 2-plug AODE transmissions can be operated with aftermarket electronic transmission controllers, making them suitable for custom builds, swaps, and restomod applications.

That said, for customers planning standalone electronic control, advanced tuning, or future performance upgrades, we generally recommend stepping up to a later-model 4R70W. Later electronics offer broader controller support, improved calibration flexibility, and better long-term upgrade potential.
