The Twisted Punisher™ C5 Corvette 4L60E is our highest-level C5 4L60E build for serious high-performance automatic Corvettes.

The Pro already addresses clutch capacity, the band, servos, geartrain, reaction shell, pump and valve body. The Punisher takes the next step with a Sonnax Smart-Tech input housing, 300M input shaft, heavy-duty reaction shaft, Smart-Tech high-capacity 3-4 clutch system, extra-wide Kevlar band and billet multi-disc lockup converter.

THIS IS NOT A ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL TORQUE CONVERTER.

The Punisher includes a billet multi-disc lockup torque converter. Stall speed is selected for the actual engine and vehicle combination.

The converter is built around the car. We do not use the same stall converter behind every Punisher.

The Punisher is our highest-level C5 4L60E build.

For customers wanting to take the factory-case 4L60E as far as we reasonably can, two additional hard-part upgrades are available:

✔️ 300M Heavy-Duty C5 Corvette Output Shaft Upgrade

Replaces the factory Corvette output shaft with a heavy-duty 300M output shaft.

Highly recommended for upper-power, high-traction and hard-launch applications.

✔️ Sonnax 2.84 Heavy-Duty Input Carrier / Gear Ratio Upgrade

Changes the factory 3.06 first-gear ratio to a 2.84 first gear and provides a closer 1-2 ratio for high-power applications.

This is an application-specific upgrade and is not required for every Punisher build.

Add these upgrades to the Punisher and we're putting essentially every major hard-part upgrade available into the factory C5 4L60E architecture:

While the transmission is out, inspect:

🧊 COOLING

A properly functioning transmission cooler is required.

The cooler and lines must be flushed and checked for unrestricted flow. If the previous transmission contaminated the cooler with clutch material or metal, replace it.

C5 +3.5-Quart Deep Aluminum Cooling Pan - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Available as an optional upgrade.
