The Twisted Street™ 66RFE is our factory-spec remanufactured 6-speed automatic transmission for 2012–2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI V8 engines.

Our Street build is intended for stock HEMI applications, daily driving, work trucks, and towing within factory vehicle ratings.

New Factory-Spec Clutches & Steels

• New OEM-spec friction clutches and steel plates throughout

Remanufactured & Updated Valve Body

Our valve bodies are completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and remanufactured in-house.

• Solenoid switch valve circuits inspected for wear and hydraulic leakage
• Pressure regulator and converter-control circuits checked
• Low/Reverse and clutch-pressure circuits inspected
• Accumulator pistons, seals, and bores serviced as required
• Applicable factory and ATSG service corrections performed
• Separator plate, checkballs, and hydraulic passages verified
• Factory shift timing and hydraulic characteristics maintained

New OEM-Spec Solenoid / TRS Assembly

• New application-correct Mopar-style solenoid/TRS assembly
• Correct solenoid configuration matched to transmission application
• Electrical connections and sensor operation verified
• Factory electronic shift-control operation maintained

Remanufactured Front Pump

• Pump assembly disassembled, cleaned, and inspected
• Pump gears and housing checked for wear
• Pressure-regulator and converter-feed circuits inspected
• Pump bushings and seals replaced as required
• Factory pump clearances maintained
• Worn or damaged pump parts replaced

New Seals, Bushings & Internal Wear Parts

• Complete new overhaul gasket and seal kit
• New clutch piston seals and applicable bonded pistons
• New internal sealing rings and O-rings
• New factory-spec bushings
• New applicable thrust washers and bearings as required
• Input and output shaft endplay measured and verified

Inspected OEM Hard Parts

• Input drum, clutch retainers, and clutch housings inspected
• Planetary gearsets, shafts, and drums inspected for wear or damage
• Overdrive hub, shaft splines, and related hard parts checked
• Low/Reverse sprag assembly inspected
• Worn or out-of-specification hard parts replaced

Factory-Stall Torque Converter — Included

Every Twisted Street™ 66RFE includes an application-matched, remanufactured lockup torque converter.

• Factory stall speed maintained
• Renewed torque converter clutch lining
• Internal bearings and wear parts serviced as required
• Converter hub and internal components inspected
• Converter pressure-tested and balanced
• Matched to the customer's 5.7L or 6.4L HEMI application

Complete New Filtration Service

• New primary transmission sump filter
• New spin-on cooler-return filter
• New applicable filter seals
• Transmission pan inspected and cleaned

The Twisted Street™ 66RFE is intended for stock and mildly modified HEMI applications operating within the stated horsepower and torque limits.

Recommended for:

• Factory-stock 5.7L HEMI — 383 HP / 400 LB-FT
• Factory-stock 6.4L HEMI — Up to 410 HP / 429 LB-FT
• Ram 2500 and 3500 daily-driven trucks
• Work trucks and highway use
• Towing within factory vehicle ratings
• Mild engine upgrades within the stated transmission limits

Available for applicable 2WD and 4WD configurations.

VIN and original transmission identification are required to confirm fitment. Transmission case, output shaft, cooler connections, and internal parts must match the original application.

This product is specifically for the 66RFE transmission. It does not include the 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 68RFE, or Aisin transmissions.

Programming & Installation

The 66RFE uses the vehicle's electronic transmission control system. A replacement TCM is not normally required when the original vehicle controller remains functional and compatible.

Following installation, the transmission must undergo the applicable Chrysler Quick Learn procedure using compatible diagnostic equipment.

Installation Requirements:

• Professional installation by a qualified repair facility
• Transmission cooler replacement or approved flushing procedure
• Use Mopar ATF+4 meeting Chrysler MS-9602
• Verify correct transmission fluid level using factory procedures
• Perform required transmission Quick Learn
• Check clutch adaptation values and shift operation
• Inspect for diagnostic trouble codes and complete road testing
