EcoBoost applications are evaluated by torque as well as horsepower.

Tuned EcoBoost engines can produce substantial low-RPM torque even when peak horsepower remains within the Street power range. Higher-torque or aggressively tuned combinations may require a Twisted Pro™ or Twisted Punisher™ 6R80.

Pressure-regulator bores are not automatically reamed. The valve body is inspected first and the appropriate repair is performed based on condition.

Application-correct TransGo components are used for the standard hydraulic update. When excessive bore wear is present, the appropriate Sonnax / TransGo oversized repair is used where required.

🔥 HOW DOES 450 HP COMPARE TO FACTORY POWER?

Most factory 6R80 applications were already making respectable horsepower and torque before any modifications.

As a general reference:

3.5L EcoBoost F-150

Approximately 365 HP / 420 LB-FT in common factory 6R80 applications.

5.0L Coyote F-150

Approximately 360–385 HP / 380–387 LB-FT in common factory 6R80 applications.

5.0L Coyote Mustang GT

Approximately 412+ HP / 390+ LB-FT depending on model year.

That means our Twisted Street™ 450 HP rating provides additional capacity over most stock 6R80 combinations, while remaining focused on daily-driven, OEM+ and mildly modified applications.

⚠️ MODIFIED ECOBOOST OWNERS: PAY ATTENTION TO TORQUE

The 3.5L EcoBoost can gain substantial low-RPM torque with relatively simple tuning and modifications.

A vehicle may still be near our Street horsepower range while producing considerably more torque than the original factory combination.

If your EcoBoost is tuned, boosted beyond stock, used for heavy towing, or producing substantially increased torque, tell us before ordering. We may recommend stepping up to a Twisted Pro™ or Twisted Punisher™ 6R80 even if your peak horsepower number appears to fit the Street build.
